Job summary

Rakbank is seeking a Senior Analyst – Descriptive Analytics to turn complex banking data into actionable insights. You will build intuitive dashboards, automate reporting, and apply advanced analytics to support strategic and operational objectives.

Collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders will be essential to deliver meaningful performance reporting. Responsibilities include designing BI solutions, data modeling, and ensuring data quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, Data Analytics, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in banking.
• At least 2 years in sales analytics or sales incentive analytics.
• Strong expertise in Power BI, DAX, Power Query, SQL, and data visualization.
• Experience with Power BI Service and Microsoft Fabric.
• Knowledge of data modeling, dashboard automation, and reporting optimization.
• Exposure to Python and other analytics tools is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards, KPI scorecards, and management reports.
• Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate into visualizations and metrics.
• Extract, transform, and integrate data from multiple sources using SQL, Power Query, and data models.
• Develop and optimize DAX calculations, measures, and reporting models.
• Automate recurring MIS and management reporting processes to improve efficiency.
• Perform trend, variance, and drill-down analysis to identify opportunities and insights.
• Monitor dashboard performance, data refresh schedules, and data quality; resolve issues.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards, KPI scorecards, and management reports.
• Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into impactful visualizations and performance metrics.
• Extract, transform, and integrate data from multiple sources using SQL, Power Query, and data models.
• Develop and optimize DAX calculations, measures, and reporting models to ensure efficient and accurate insights.
• Automate recurring MIS and management reporting processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Perform trend, variance, performance, and drill-down analysis to identify opportunities and business insights.
• Monitor dashboard performance, data refresh schedules, and data quality while resolving reporting issues proactively.
• Maintain documentation of dashboards, KPIs, business definitions, calculations, and data sources.
• Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and confidentiality standards, particularly for customer and banking data.
• Support reporting requirements related to regulatory, financial, and management reporting needs.

What You Will Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the banking industry.
• At least 2 years of experience in sales analytics, performance reporting, and/or sales incentive analytics.
• Strong expertise in Power BI, DAX, Power Query, SQL, and data visualization.
• Experience working with Power BI Service and Microsoft Fabric.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, dashboard automation, and reporting optimization.
• Knowledge of retail banking products, business banking products, banking processes, and sales KPIs.
• Exposure to Python and other analytical tools will be advantageous.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and deliver high-quality outcomes.
