Job summary

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience in aircraft electrical systems engineering.
• 4+ years owning or maintaining aircraft electrical load analysis and power budgets.
• Strong experience with essential and emergency electrical architecture.
• Experience with load categorisation, load shedding and power management on safety-critical aircraft.
• Experience defining power management and reconfiguration logic and supporting safety assessments.
• Experience with electrical power quality analysis and testing.
• Proven ability to manage electrical power budgets across multiple engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Own the aircraft electrical load analysis and power budget, including flight phases and margins.
• Manage electrical power requirements across aircraft systems.
• Define essential and emergency electrical buses, load shedding strategies.
• Develop power management and automatic reconfiguration logic.
• Ensure flight-critical systems operate after loss of power or electrical bus.
• Support aircraft safety assessments and continued safe flight analyses.
• Characterise electrical loads for mission and medical equipment.
• Provide electrical power requirements to the integration team.
• Define and support power quality and electrical load testing.
