Job summary

Forsyth Barnes Consultancy seeks an experienced AI Architect to lead the architectural design and delivery of AI-driven solutions for enterprise clients in regulated industries. You will define blueprints, select models and tooling, and drive cloud integrations to ensure reliability and compliance.

You will partner with product managers, engineering teams and data scientists to prioritise work, de-risk delivery and accelerate value realization, while raising observability and model lifecycle

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing and delivering production AI/ML solutions in enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms and services for compute, storage and deployment of ML models.
• Demonstrable skills in system design, APIs, data engineering patterns and scalable inference architectures.
• Experience working with product, security, legal and operations in regulated industries.
• Excellent communication, modelling and documentation with influencing technical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end solution architecture for AI initiatives from requirements to deployment and handover.
• Define model integration patterns, data pipelines and inference infrastructure for performance and cost.
• Lead cross-functional design workshops to align stakeholders on scope and success criteria.
• Produce architecture artefacts including diagrams, interfaces and non-functional requirements.
• Evaluate cloud services, frameworks and tooling to meet security, compliance and scalability needs.
• Establish practices for model governance, monitoring and retraining triggers.
• Conduct technical reviews, code and design reviews, and mentor teams.
• Support PoC work to validate approaches and iterate on promising directions.
