Job summary

Oracle is seeking a Principal Core Infrastructure Engineer (AI/ML Forward Deployed Infrastructure) to design, implement, and maintain the infrastructure that powers our customers' AI and machine learning initiatives. You will work with customer technical teams and our cloud services group to deploy AI/ML solutions at scale, focusing on performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience in scripting and automation with Ansible, Terraform, Python and/or Kubernetes.
• Containerization with Docker and orchestration for distributed systems (Kubernetes).
• Strong networking, security principles, and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Strong documentation and Linux skills (Oracle Linux/RHEL/CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian).

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of AI/ML infrastructure for performance, scalability, and security.
• Implement and maintain AI/ML infrastructure ensuring efficient operations.
• Collaborate with customer teams to understand AI/ML requirements and provide tailored solutions.
• Work with cloud services to integrate AI/ML into the cloud platform.
• Ensure secure deployment of AI/ML models and data per industry best practices.
• Monitor and optimize infrastructure performance and resolve bottlenecks.
• Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge across teams.
• Document infrastructure designs, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
• Engage with customers to gather feedback and ensure satisfaction with AI/ML offerings.
