Job summary

FirstTech in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to design, implement, and deploy production-grade AI solutions. You will work with LLMs, RAG, document processing, and intelligent agent workflows to deliver scalable services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Around 5 years of relevant experience in software or AI engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python, FastAPI, SQL, and API development.
• Practical experience with RAG, document processing, and AI agent orchestration.
• Good understanding of AI security, guardrails, data privacy, and LLM performance optimization.
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform: Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, CI/CD, automated testing, and production deployments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable AI services using Python, FastAPI, and SQL.
• Integrate and optimize production LLM solutions, including structured outputs, streaming, and API integrations.
• Develop RAG pipelines, including document processing, embeddings, retrieval, reranking, and source citations.
• Build and orchestrate AI agents and tool-based workflows.
• Implement AI evaluation frameworks, testing, monitoring, and observability to ensure quality and reliability.
• Apply AI security, data privacy, and governance best practices.
• Deploy and maintain containerized applications using Docker, CI/CD, and cloud platforms.
• Collaborate with AI, Data Science, Product, IT, and business teams to deliver impactful AI solutions.
