Job summary

Enhance is building a data-driven AI platform to design, ship and support production AI systems across sales, member experience, and operations. You’ll lead AI workout-generation, build assistants, and automate workflows with AWS Bedrock, Snowflake and Power BI, collaborating with Data, Product, Engineering and business leadership.

Qualifications

• Strong Python skills and solid software-engineering fundamentals. You have experience taking systems beyond notebooks and prototypes into production.
• Strong SQL skills and the ability to understand analytical datasets, business metrics and data-quality problems.
• Practical experience building applications with large language models.
• Understanding of concepts such as structured outputs, prompt design, retrieval, tool calling, evaluation, hallucination control and cost management.
• Experience building APIs and integrating services with existing applications.
• Experience with a major cloud platform. AWS experience is preferred, but equivalent experience is acceptable if you can transfer it quickly.
• Ability to work directly with non-technical stakeholders, gather requirements, question assumptions when necessary and explain technical trade-offs clearly.
• Ability to take an ambiguous problem, investigate it and turn it into a concrete and maintainable solution.
• Adaptability and willingness to work across AI, software and data problems. We value the ability to learn and solve unfamiliar problems more than familiarity with every tool in our current stack.

Responsibilities

• Own our AI workout-generation products.
• Maintain and evolve systems that generate personalised, safe and actionable workouts by combining member context, training constraints, business rules and LLM reasoning.
• Build AI assistants and knowledge systems.
• Develop RAG applications using AWS Bedrock and Claude models, working across document ingestion, retrieval, prompt design, structured outputs and quality evaluation.
• Automate commercial and operational workflows.
• Deliver AI automation across areas such as sales, member onboarding and personal-trainer handover, including integrations with third-party platforms such as WhatsApp Business.
• Build the AI insight layer.
• Use Snowflake, SQL, business rules and LLMs to transform operational data into reliable recommendations. Work with platforms such as Club Commander and Power BI, validate source metrics and prevent repetitive or unnecessary insights.
• Scope and evaluate new AI products.
• Translate business problems into pragmatic technical proposals, considering expected impact, implementation effort, operating cost and platform limitations. Evaluate output quality and improve systems based on evidence and real usage.
• Ship and operate what you build.
• Own deployment, monitoring, documentation and cost control, collaborating with Data, Backend, Frontend, Product and QA to integrate AI capabilities into existing products.

About the role

As part of Enhance Fitness's Data Team, you will help design, build, ship and maintain production AI systems across areas such as sales, member experience and operations.

This is not a research role and it is not a \"plug in a chatbot\" role. You will work with Data, Product, Engineering and business leadership to turn real operational problems into useful and reliable AI products.

You will be the primary AI specialist within the Data Team, but you will not work in isolation. You will collaborate with data analysts, engineers, product teams and business stakeholders throughout the full lifecycle of each project.

We do not expect you to already know every technology or platform mentioned below. We are looking for someone with strong engineering foundations, adaptability and the ability to learn unfamiliar tools, investigate problems independently and choose pragmatic solutions.

What you’ll do:
