Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior AI Cloud Architect in the UAE with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure. This hybrid role requires designing and governing cloud architecture for enterprise AI solutions, including AI services and Azure OpenAI adoption, while aligning with data governance and security standards.

You will work with AI, data, security and infrastructure teams to ensure secure, scalable, and compliant cloud solutions and provide presales support and technical estimates.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing enterprise-scale Azure-based cloud architectures.
• Strong ability to engage with AI, security, data and infrastructure teams.
• Experience with Azure OpenAI or Azure AI services preferred.
• Excellent communication with business stakeholders.
• Delivery support and technical estimation experience.
• Nice to have: Agentic AI, RAG-based solutions; regulated industry experience; Azure Fabric familiarity; related certifications.

Responsibilities

• Own cloud and solution architecture design across application, data, integration, security and AI layers.
• Define Azure-based architecture for compute, storage, networking, databases and AI services.

Job Description:

We're looking for a Senior AI Cloud Architect to join our team in UAE in a hybrid working mode. In this role, you will design and govern cloud architecture for an enterprise AI-driven solution that enables well test monitoring, anomaly detection, diagnostics, optimization recommendations and knowledge management.

The position focuses on Microsoft Azure cloud services for a secure, scalable and resilient architecture that aligns with enterprise data platform integration and Azure OpenAI adoption. You will work closely with AI, data, security and infrastructure teams to ensure compliance with cybersecurity, data governance and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own cloud and solution architecture design across application, data, integration, security and AI layers
• Define Azure-based architecture covering compute, storage, networking, databases and AI services
• Establish secure integration with enterprise data platforms and Azure OpenAI services
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity, data governance, residency and AI governance standards
• Define principles, patterns, non-functional requirements and deployment standards for cloud solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including AI, DevOps, infrastructure and application engineering
• Review technical designs to maintain alignment with target architecture
• Address non-functional aspects such as scalability, performance, resilience, observability and cost optimization
• Support presales, architecture presentations, technical estimates and solution workshops
• Identify risks, dependencies and technical constraints related to quotas, connectivity and AI service usage

Requirements

• Extensive experience architecting enterprise-scale solutions on Microsoft Azure
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field
• Deep understanding of Azure networking, IAM, security, governance and monitoring capabilities
• Proven experience in designing cloud-native applications and enterprise integration architectures
• Familiarity with Azure OpenAI, Azure AI services or AI Foundry
• Strong expertise in relational databases, data platforms, APIs and integration design
• Knowledge of architecture best practices for scalability, high availability and cost efficiency
• Experience defining and enforcing architecture governance and non-functional requirements
• Excellent communication skills with ability to engage technical and business stakeholders
• Experience providing delivery support, technical estimates and presales input

Nice to have

• Experience implementing enterprise Agentic AI or RAG-based solutions
• Background in highly regulated or security-focused environments
• Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric as a future migration option
• Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure AI Engineer certifications
• Familiarity with human-in-the-loop AI solutions or enterprise knowledge bases
• Industry experience in oil & gas, energy or industrial sectors
• Arabic language proficiency
