Qualifications

• Degree in acoustics, engineering, physics or related discipline.
• 8–10 years' experience in acoustic consultancy.
• Strong technical expertise in building or environmental acoustics.
• Proficiency in acoustic modelling software (CadnaA, Odeon, EASE, Treble, SoundPLAN).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven project management and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage acoustic consultancy projects from concept through to completion.
• Undertake and review noise, vibration, and acoustic assessments.
• Conduct acoustic modelling and simulations (CadnaA, Odeon, EASE, Treble) to predict and optimize sound performance.
• Prepare and approve technical reports, calculations, and design recommendations.
• Provide expert advice to clients, architects, planners, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Mentor, train, and support junior acoustic consultants.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards, guidelines, and legislation.
• Support business development activities and maintain strong client relationships.

The successful candidate will provide technical leadership, manage complex acoustic projects, and deliver high-quality consultancy services across a range of sectors. This role involves close collaboration with clients, project teams, and junior staff, contributing to both project success and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage acoustic consultancy projects from concept through to completion
• Undertake and review noise, vibration, and acoustic assessments
• Conduct acoustic modelling and simulations (e.g., CadnA, Odeon, EASE,Treble) to predict and optimize sound performance
• Prepare and approve technical reports, calculations, and design recommendations
• Provide expert advice to clients, architects, planners, and multidisciplinary teams
• Mentor, train, and support junior acoustic consultants
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards, guidelines, and legislation
• Support business development activities and maintain strong client relationships

• Proven project management and leadership capabilities
• Experience in hospitality projects (hotels, resorts) is a strong advantage
• Professional membership (e.g. IOA, ASA) or chartered status preferred
