Job summary

Tanqeeb in Dubai seeks an experienced Accountant – Cash & Receivables to join the Finance team. The role focuses on AR management, cash collections, customer reconciliations, and credit control in a corporate group environment.

The successful candidate will reduce overdue balances, monitor credit risk, and support month-end close and audit requirements. English communication is essential; Arabic is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5–10 years of AR, collections or cash management experience.
• Experience in corporate/group environments.
• Strong Excel and ERP system skills.
• English communication skills; Arabic a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage Accounts Receivable and customer balances.
• Follow up with clients for collection of outstanding and overdue invoices.
• Prepare and review receivables aging reports and prioritize long-outstanding balances.
• Obtain payment commitments and follow up until settlement.
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies and unidentified receipts.
• Monitor customer credit limits, payment terms and credit exposure.
• Identify high-risk or overdue customers and escalate to Finance Management.
• Support implementation of credit-control policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with Operations to resolve billing and collection issues.
• Record and reconcile cash, cheques, bank transfers and other receipts.
• Prepare regular collection, aging and credit-exposure reports.
• Support month-end closing and receivables audit requirements.
