Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accounts Officer to support our Middle East and regional office operations. This role includes a mix of accounting compliance, tax support, and general administration duties. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in accounting functions, good communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced multinational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounting Support:

  • Process payments, invoices, and vouchers in line with company policies and ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Handle daily data entries into the accounting system and support month-end closing activities.
  • Manage petty cash, payroll, accounting, and banking tasks.
  • Generate accounting-related reports as required.

2. Corporate Tax Support:

  • Assist in preparing and maintaining financial records in compliance with Corporate Income Tax (CIT) and Transfer Pricing (TP) requirements.
  • Support implementation of updates in bookkeeping to meet tax filing obligations.

3. General Administration & Communication:

  • Maintain and regularly update proper documentation and records for easy retrieval.
  • Handle calls, emails, and communication with internal and external stakeholders professionally, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
  • Provide ad hoc administrative and accounting support as requested by the Manager.
  • Continuously look for process improvements and contribute to the department's performance.

Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Prior experience working in a multinational organization with regional operations is preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Advanced Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Reliable, responsible, and able to work well in a team.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines under pressure.

Key Challenges:

  • Managing workload to ensure timely compliance with accounting and reporting deadlines.
  • Coordinating and negotiating effectively to resolve tax audit or banking-related issues.

Decision-Making:

  • Applies judgment in line with internal accounting and corporate policies.
  • Refers significant policy or regulatory decisions to the Manager or higher-level authorities.

Required Skills:

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CMA, CPA) are a plus but not mandatory. Experience: Minimum 2-4 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial support roles. Prior experience in VAT filing and compliance is preferred. Familiarity with internal auditing processes and financial reconciliations. Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar). Strong knowledge of VAT regulations and compliance requirements. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
