Job summary

Polymarket in Dubai seeks an experienced accounting leader to own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close under US GAAP, including GL operations, journal entries, reconciliations, and balance sheet reviews.

You will research technical accounting positions (ASC 606, ASC 805, ASC 350-40), lead financial reporting, support external audits, and help build the internal controls framework while coordinating with legal and product teams on new initiatives including crypto activities.

Qualifications

• Active CPA license required.
• 8 to 10+ years of progressive accounting experience in high-growth private or public company environments.
• 3+ years of Big 4 public accounting experience preferred.
• Deep technical GAAP knowledge with ability to research complex topics and write clear memos.
• Experience leading close processes in high-transaction-volume environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Proficiency with modern finance tools (Ramp, Brex, or modern ERP).
• Strong Excel modeling skills.
• SQL skills and crypto experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process end to end, including GL operations, journal entries, reconciliations, and balance sheet reviews under US GAAP
• Research and document technical accounting positions including revenue recognition (ASC 606), business combinations (ASC 805), and internal-use software (ASC 350-40)
• Lead the financial reporting process, support external audits, and build the internal controls framework
• Manage intercompany accounting and consolidated financials across domestic and international entities
• Scope and implement accounting systems including ERP tools and automation
• Partner with legal, product, and business development on new initiatives such as product launches and M&A activity
• Define and document accounting policies for crypto-native platform activity
