Job description
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily accounting operations — bookkeeping, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Oversee retail accounting functions: inventory costing, SKU-level profitability, and store-level reporting.
  • Handle VAT compliance, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare and review management reports, financial statements, and forecasts.
  • Support the CFO in budgeting, financial controls, and system implementation (ERP/accounting tools).
  • Ensure full compliance with UAE VAT, corporate tax, and free zone regulations (JAFZA).
  • Coordinate with auditors, banks, and external partners for year-end audits and statutory filings.
Qualifications & Experience
  • ACCA / CPA / CA Inter or equivalent qualification.
  • 3–6 years of accounting experience, with mandatory background in retail, FMCG, or beauty industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of UAE VAT, corporate tax, and inventory accounting.
  • Advanced Excel and analytical skills with accuracy in reporting.
  • Experience with Shopify accounting and ecommerce financial systems preferred.
  • Strong English communication and documentation skills.
