Job summary

Thomsun Group in the United Arab Emirates is seeking an experienced Finance & Accounts leader to oversee preparation and accuracy of financial statements, ensure timely close, and maintain strong internal controls. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive insightful reporting and strategic decision-making.

The role requires a CA qualification (Qualified or Inter), a Bachelor’s in Finance/Accounting, and 8–15 years of post-CA experience, with trading/manufacturing exposure

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting required.
• CA qualification (Qualified or Inter) mandatory.
• 8 to 15 years of experience in Finance & Accounts post CA qualification.
• Trading/Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting, budgeting & financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes ensuring timely and precise reporting of financial results
• Conduct regular audits of financial records to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions as necessary
• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze financial data and provide insights that support strategic business decisions
• Prepare and manage budgets forecasts and variance analyses to drive performance and accountability
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
• Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits ensuring all financial documents are prepared and available
• Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and optimize accounting processes
• Implement and oversee accounting software systems that enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting
