Job description

This role is for one of the Weekday's clients. Salary range: Rs 720,000 - Rs 960,000 (ie INR 7.2-9.6 LPA). Location: Dubai. JobType: full-time. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the company’s end-to-end accounting processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to financial compliance standards. You’ll oversee ledger management, VAT filings, month-end closures, and prepare management reports that support business decision‑making. This is a full-time, on‑site position offering stability, professional growth, and exposure to international trading practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage full accounting operations including journal entries, reconciliations, and ledger maintenance.
  • Prepare and finalize financial statements, MIS reports, and monthly closing summaries.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE VAT laws and maintain accurate documentation for audits and reporting.
  • Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and cash flow management.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, banks, and internal departments for smooth financial operations.
  • Supervise junior accounting staff and ensure accuracy in daily financial tasks.
  • Maintain inventory records and verify all financial transactions for correctness.
  • Support process improvement and contribute to financial planning and budgeting activities.
What Makes You a Great Fit
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a senior role within the UAE.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE VAT compliance, accounting standards, and financial reporting practices.
  • Proficiency in ERP or accounting software with excellent analytical and organizational skills.
