Job summary

Sulzer is seeking a Senior Accountant in Dubai to support accounting operations, ensure IFRS compliance, and assist with audits and month-end close. The role requires practical knowledge and independent work under general supervision.

Responsibilities include closing AR/AP subledgers, journal entries, financial reporting, asset handling, and cross-functional collaboration with Finance Shared Services and Country Finance Head. Local regulatory adherence is essential.

Qualifications

• Typically a University degree or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Experience with SAP, ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support period end close and reconcile subledgers with general ledger.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes; prepare journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare accurate financial statements: income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements.
• Assist with coding of non-PO invoices and asset handling.
• Collaborate with Reporting & Analytics to provide financial insights.
