Foreground is partnering with a leading food manufacturing and distribution company in Dubai to appoint a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee the companys financial operations and ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all accounting functions.

The ideal candidate is analytical, dependable, and hands‑on someone capable of managing the full accounting cycle while supporting management with financial insights that drive sound decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day‑to‑day accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
  • Oversee cost accounting and inventory valuation processes to ensure accurate reporting of production and stock levels.
  • Support the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning process in coordination with management.
  • Monitor cash flow, manage payments, and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE VAT and other statutory reporting requirements.
  • Reconcile intercompany transactions and manage account consolidations where applicable.
  • Coordinate with external auditors to ensure timely and accurate audit completion.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and strengthen internal financial controls.
  • Prepare ad‑hoc financial reports and analyses as required by management.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred).
  • Minimum 6+ years of accounting experience, ideally within FMCG, food manufacturing, or trading sectors.
  • Solid understanding of IFRS and UAE VAT regulations.
  • Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
  • Effective communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
