Job summary

EventMakers Entertainment is seeking a Senior Accountant based in Abu Dhabi to oversee financial operations, ensure timely reporting, manage budgets, and analyze data to guide decisions. You will supervise junior staff and collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with policies and standards.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Accounting, 5+ years in a similar role, proficiency in QuickBooks or SAP, and fluency in English; French is a plus.

Job description

As a Senior Accountant based in Abu Dhabi you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our company Your primary focus will be on ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting managing budgets and analyzing financial data to inform business decisions You will also supervise junior accounting staff and work closely with other departments to ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements budgets and forecasts in accordance with accounting principles
• Conduct regular financial analysis to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations to management
• Supervise junior accounting staff and provide training and support as needed
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions and compliance with company policies
• Assist in the preparation of tax returns audits and other regulatory filings
• Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and reconcile accounts as needed
• Monitor cash flow and manage accounts payablereceivable processes
• Stay up-to-date on changes in accounting regulations and industry trends

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field CPA designation preferred
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles regulations and best practices
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Quickbooks or SAP
• Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
• Supervisory experience is an asset
• Fluent in English proficiency in French is an asset
