Job summary

Rixos Bab Al Bahr is seeking a Security Supervisor to manage and coordinate all security-related activities within the resort, ensuring a safe and secure environment for guests and staff. The role requires coordinating with management, law enforcement, and safety officials, and training security personnel on procedures, drills, and incident response.

The position emphasizes maintaining confidentiality of records, regular reporting, and continuous threat assessment, with engagement in emergency

Responsibilities

• Keeps the General Manager informed of all security related matters.
• Coordinate with management and staff to address security issues and loss control.
• Liaises with local law enforcement and fire & safety officials.
• Maintain proper grooming at all times.
• Attend training classes as scheduled.
• Cooperate respectfully with the team and other departments.
• Knowledge of daily activities and hotel facilities.
• Trains security staff on resort regulations, safety procedures, firefighting, life-saving techniques, crime scene preservation, crisis actions, and reporting.
• Oversees daily distribution of security reports to management.
• Keeps security records and reports confidential.
• Trains for all emergency situations per procedures.
• Continuously evaluates possible security threats.
• Coordinates with engineering for regular maintenance of safety equipment.
• Ensures staff use proximity card readers at security posts.
• Controls access for contractors, visitors and suppliers; issue visitor passes.
• Supervises security posts, including CCTV room.
• Ensures staff are familiar with emergency procedures and prepared.
• Executes regular technical skills training.
• Reviews Duty/Night Manager notes daily and takes corrective action.
• Reviews security logbook daily and informs Safety & Security Manager.
• Maintains monthly holiday balance for security staff.
• Familiar with company docs and Operational Standards Manual.
• Updates emergency manual with procedures and forms with Security Manager.
• Trains staff with live fire drills regularly.
• Conducts skills/technical training regularly.

Job Description

• Keeps the General Manager informed of all security related matters. Depending on distribution of Fire, Security responsibility coordinates with the Director of Engineering in this matter.
• Liaises with Management personnel and all employees and assist with security problems and loss control.
• Liaises with local law enforcement and Fire & Safety officials
• Proper grooming at all times
• Attend training classes as per schedule
• Show fullest cooperation and respect within the team and other departments
• Is aware of the daily activities and has product knowledge of all the hotel facilities
• Trains Security employees in all Resort regulations and all factors affecting the operations of the Resort. Fire prevention and safety procedures, basic fire fighting, life saving techniques, preservation of crime scene and evidence, actions, duties and powers where crime is detected, action in crisis situations, report writing, public relations and psychology.
• Supervises the daily processing in distribution of security reports to the Management.
• Keeps all records and report concerning security matters and Resort businesses confidential
• Is fully trained and prepared for all emergency situations as per procedures.
• To evaluate on a continuing basis the possible threat to Security.
• In close coordination with engineering department, to conduct regular preventive maintenance of all safety equipment
• Supervises that all employees locking in with the proximity card reader, located at the security post at the staff entrance.
• Strictly controls in and out back-of-the-house of contractors, visitors and suppliers. Visitor passes to be issued and controlled.
• Frequent control and supervision of all security posts, including CCTV room.
• Ensures all staff is thoroughly familiar with the Resort’s emergency procedures and in a state of preparedness for any emergency which may occur.
• Execution of regular/ technical skills training.
• Reviews Duty Manager/Night Manager book daily and takes corrective action when security is concerned.
• Reviews Security logbook daily and takes action if needed, informs Safety and Security Manager .
• Maintains a monthly overview of vacation and public holiday balance of all security staff
• Be familiar with all related company documentation and especially with the relevant Operational Standards Manual for his/her field of responsibility
• Keeps updating the emergency manual, with appropriate procedures and forms with the consultation of Security Manager.
• To train existing employees and new comers on a regular basis with live fire drills.
• Conducts skills/technical training within his/her area of responsibility on regular basis.
