Job summary

EDGE is seeking a Security Researcher for BEACON RED to perform hands‑on security assessments of IT products, firmware, hardware devices, and software solutions. You will conduct vulnerability analysis, reverse engineering, and attack‑based evaluations to identify risks and prepare security recommendations.

5+ years of cybersecurity experience, firmware analysis, fuzzing, exploit development, and SCA/FI are required, with ISO/IEC 17025 awareness and related certifications encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Security, Cybersecurity or related field.
• 5+ years of cybersecurity evaluation, pentesting, vulnerability research or secure product development.
• Hands-on experience in firmware analysis, fuzzing, exploit development, SCA/FI and embedded device testing.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity standards, testing methodologies, and ISO/IEC 17025.
• Relevant certifications such as CEH, OSCP, CISSP, CISA or CC/equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform security evaluations of software, firmware, embedded systems and hardware devices.
• Conduct vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, reverse engineering and attack assessments.
• Execute security testing including firmware analysis and embedded device assessments.
• Support SCA, FI, debug interface testing and cryptographic implementation testing.
• Document evidence, identify vulnerabilities, assess attack vectors, and report risks.
• Contribute to technical reports and risk-based recommendations; stay updated on threats.
