Job summary

Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation (PCFC) is seeking a Technology Security professional to help implement security controls, monitor networks, and respond to incidents. The role includes conducting vulnerability assessments, enforcing security policies, and collaborating with IT teams to embed security in all technologies.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in IT or CS and a relevant security certification.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.
• A recognised professional security certification, such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) or an equivalent certification.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of technology security strategies and controls to protect the organisation’s digital assets and ensure compliance with policies.
• Monitor networks, systems and technology environment for security breaches, threats and vulnerabilities and mitigate identified risks.
• Support the security incident response process including investigation, containment, remediation and resolution with timely documentation and escalation.
• Conduct periodic security assessments, vulnerability reviews and audits to identify gaps and strengthen security posture.
• Develop and enforce information security policies, procedures, standards and guidelines across the organisation.
• Collaborate with IT teams to embed security requirements into design, development and implementation of technology solutions.
• Support security awareness and training programmes to promote a security-conscious culture.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging cyber threats and technologies and provide insights to enhance security practices.
• Assist in developing security documentation and coordinate with external security vendors to support service delivery.
• Provide technical guidance to IT teams on security-related matters and best practices.

Education
