Halian in Abu Dhabi invites a Senior Software Architect to define and govern the architecture of complex software systems, leveraging cloud-native designs and secure, scalable data architectures.

You will lead enterprise architecture, data & security practices, and guide engineering teams through modernization and governance across the SDLC.

Candidates should have 8+ years in software architecture, experience with microservices, IAM, and distributed systems.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software architecture, solution architecture, or related design roles.
• Experience designing and delivering large-scale enterprise applications and distributed systems.
• Proven ability to lead architectural initiatives across complex technical environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain end-to-end architecture for large-scale software solutions, including web apps, APIs, microservices, and backend services.
• Establish architectural standards, design patterns, and development guidelines for long-term scalability.
• Develop secure and scalable data models; define data segregation, access control, encryption, retention, and lifecycle strategies.
• Architect event-driven and service-oriented solutions with high availability and fault tolerance.
• Integrate security principles into system design and governance; define authentication/authorization controls.
• Lead IAM concepts with modern authentication frameworks and secure token management.
• Drive architecture reviews, threat modeling, and risk mitigation throughout project lifecycles.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
