Job summary

LuxGuard Solutions is seeking a qualified Librarian to join our Sharjah team. The role focuses on organizing a diverse library collection, assisting users with research, and promoting literacy through scheduled programs.

You will work with English-speaking colleagues in a multicultural environment, ensuring accurate cataloging and effective resource integration into the curriculum. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a librarian in a school or academic setting.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Familiarity with library classification systems (DDC, LCC).

Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain the library's collection of books, journals and other materials.
• Assist students and faculty with research inquiries and locating resources.
• Develop and implement library programs and events to promote literacy and reading culture.
• Train library staff on cataloging, classification and other library procedures.
• Evaluate new resources for inclusion in the library collection.
• Collaborate with teachers to integrate library resources into curriculum.
• Manage budget for purchasing new materials and resources.
