Job summary

Leams Education invites applications for a school Health & Safety Officer (Female) with NEBOSH certification to ensure adherence to KHDA/DHA/DM guidelines. The role includes developing and enforcing health and safety regulations, training staff, performing fire safety audits, and coordinating with Civil Defense.

It also covers incident reporting, emergency response, and ongoing compliance across the school facilities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a school Health and Safety Officer with NEBOSH/IOSH Certification.
• Knowledge of safety, accident and fire prevention principles.
• Ability to remain composed and respond properly during emergencies.
• Knowledge of regulatory policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
• Experience in writing incident reports and health and safety policies.
• Familiarity with data analysis and reporting statistics.

Responsibilities

• Develop regulations, policies, standards and guidelines to improve health and safety procedures for the school.
• Monitor the implementation of these procedures.
• Train staff on best practices and KHDA/DM requirements.
• Conduct training for students and staff.
• Manage the designated isolation room on campus.
• Provide guidelines on cleaning and sanitisation requirements.
• Adhere to DHA regulations.
• Undertake fire safety audits and coordinate with Civil Defense inspections.
• Conduct evacuation drills and produce reports.
• Deliver fire safety training and refresher courses for all employees.
• Identify hazards, take action or make recommendations to eliminate hazards.
• Coordinate with HASANA system for contact tracing and data recording.
• Manage emergencies per H&S protocols.
• Update staff and student emergency contacts.
