Job summary

Adearest is seeking an experienced SAW welder to perform welding on heavy pressure vessels in accordance with WPS, drawings, and ADNOC/ASME codes. The role requires skill in multi-pass welding on thick materials, strict adherence to preheat and interpass temperature, and confident inspection readiness for RT/UT tests.

Minimum 5 years of experience in pressure vessel or heavy fabrication welding is essential, with a proven track record of defect-free welds and safe operation of welding equipment

Qualifications

• Certified SAW welder with code qualification and hands-on heavy vessel fabrication experience.
• Proven ability in multi-pass welding on thick materials.
• Basic knowledge of preheat and interpass temperature and weld defects.
• Experience working to ADNOC or similar oil & gas specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform SAW welding on longitudinal, circumferential and nozzle seams per WPS.
• Set and control welding parameters (current, voltage, speed, wire & flux).
• Ensure welds meet ASME and ADNOC specifications.
• Check joint fit-up, alignment, and cleanliness before welding.
• Prevent defects and ensure welds pass RT/UT inspection.
• Follow preheat and interpass temperature requirements.
• Operate welding equipment safely and maintain housekeeping.
• Meet productivity targets and report issues to supervisor.

To be able execute high-quality Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) on heavy pressure vessels in compliance with approved WPS, drawings, and applicable codes such as ASME and ADNOC specifications, ensuring defect-free welds, optimal productivity, and adherence to safety and project timelines.

Responsibilities and duties:

• Perform SAW welding on longitudinal, circumferential . Nozzle seams as per WPS
• Set and control welding parameters (current, voltage, speed, wire & flux)
• Ensure weld quality meets ASME and ADNOC specifications
• Check joint fit-up, alignment, and cleanliness before welding
• Prevent defects and ensure welds pass RT/UT inspection
• Follow preheat and interpass temperature requirements
• Operate welding equipment safely and maintain housekeeping
• Meet productivity targets and report issues to supervisor

Qualifications:
