Job summary

Al Islami Foods seeks an SAP specialist to own the day-to-day technical and functional running of the SAP landscape. You will resolve user issues, maintain configurations and master data, and develop and maintain ABAP objects while ensuring system stability and documentation.

The role requires 3–4 years in SAP support or development, hands-on SAP ECC experience, and strong knowledge of SD, MM and FI processes. You will coordinate with vendors and maintain change controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information technology or Computer Science or related field.
• 3–4 years in SAP support, administration or development.
• Hands-on SAP ECC experience; S/4HANA only candidates will not be considered.
• ABAP development: reports, BAPIs/RFCs, IDocs, enhancements, debugging.
• Functional knowledge of SD, MM and FI from a support perspective.
• Experience interfacing SAP with external systems.
• Experience with transport handling and testing before production release.

Job description

To own the day-to-day technical and functional running of the SAP landscape and its interfaces — resolving user issues, maintaining configuration and master data, developing and maintaining custom objects, and keeping the system stable, controlled and well documented.

Responsibilities

• Provide functional and technical support for SAP ECC — incident resolution, user issues, configuration changes and period-end support, within agreed service levels
• Develop and maintain custom ABAP objects — reports, function modules, BAPIs/RFCs, IDoc interfaces and enhancements
• Build, monitor and support interfaces between SAP and third-party business applications
• Maintain master data and pricing structures, and the controls that govern them
• Manage transports and ensure all changes are tested in a quality environment before release to production
• Administer SAP users, roles and authorisations in line with approved access procedures
• Investigate and resolve data and posting errors, including root-cause analysis and preventive fixes
• Coordinate with software vendors and implementation partners on issues and enhancements
• Produce and maintain technical specifications, process documentation and support procedures
• Support users with training, guidance and knowledge-based material

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• 3 to 4 years in SAP support, administration or development role
• Hands-on SAP ECC experience — candidates with S/4HANA experience only will not be considered
• Practical ABAP development: reports, BAPIs/RFCs, IDocs, enhancements and debugging
• Working functional knowledge of SD, MM and FI from a support perspective
• Experience supporting interfaces between SAP and external systems
• SQL and a solid understanding of relational data
• Experience of transport handling and structured testing before production release
• SAP user, role and authorisation administration
• Clear written documentation and a disciplined approach to change control
