Role Description

The Sandblaster is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Sharjah, responsible for surface preparation of vehicle parts and related components. Day‑to‑day tasks include operating sandblasting equipment to clean, strip, and prepare metal surfaces, following safety procedures and using appropriate protective gear. The role involves inspecting parts before and after sandblasting, identifying defects, and coordinating with mechanics and paint technicians to ensure surfaces meet required standards. The Sandblaster will maintain equipment, keep the work area clean and organized, and follow company guidelines for handling materials and waste. This position requires consistent adherence to safety regulations and collaboration with the wider workshop team to support efficient vehicle refurbishment.

Qualifications

• Experience in sandblasting or industrial surface preparation, including safe operation of sandblasting equipment and tools.
• Knowledge of vehicle bodywork, metal types, and basic preparation techniques for painting and coating.
• Strong awareness of occupational health and safety practices, including use of PPE and safe handling of abrasive materials.
• Ability to follow work instructions, read basic technical or workshop guidelines, and complete tasks with attention to detail.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, handle equipment, and work in a workshop environment.
• Previous experience in automotive workshops or industrial maintenance is an advantage.
• Basic communication skills in English and/or local languages, and ability to work cooperatively in a diverse team.
