About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Sales Manager to lead our pharmaceutical sales efforts across the UAE. This role will be responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy for pharmaceutical products, driving growth, building strong customer relationships, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets. You will lead a team of sales professionals and collaborate closely with marketing, distribution, regulatory and supply chain functions to ensure market success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the annual sales plan for the pharmaceutical portfolio, aligning with business objectives and growth targets.
  • Lead, motivate and manage the sales team (including field sales representatives) to deliver high performance, set clear goals and coach for success.
  • Identify market opportunities, segments, and growth drivers in the pharmaceutical sector; generate territory business plans and manage execution.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders: hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, government channels, distributors, and healthcare professionals.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, regulatory changes and product launches, and translate insights into actionable sales strategies.
  • Work closely with the marketing and product teams to develop value propositions, sales materials, training sessions and promotional activities tailored for healthcare professionals.
  • Oversee key account negotiations, contracts and performance; ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Track and report sales performance against targets; provide accurate forecasts, pipeline management and analysis of sales metrics.
  • Collaborate with supply chain, logistics and distribution to ensure smooth product availability, timely delivery and optimal stock management.
  • Drive continuous improvement in sales processes, customer service and field execution; champion best practice and share learnings across the team.
  • Ensure ethical sales practices, adhere to industry regulations (e.g., local healthcare authority guidelines) and maintain high professional standards.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelors degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business Administration or a related field. (Masters degree is a plus.)
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of proven pharmaceutical sales experience in the UAE or GCC region, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or team management position.
  • Strong track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets in the pharmaceuticals/healthcare sector.
  • Deep understanding of the UAE healthcare market, key stakeholders (hospitals, clinics, pharmacies), distribution channels and regulatory environment.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching and people-management skills.
  • Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, analytical skills and ability to turn insights into action.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation and presentation skills; able to engage senior healthcare professionals and decision-makers.
  • Results-driven, self-motivated with high energy and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint), and ability to interpret sales data and build actionable plans.
  • Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are highly desirable.
