Job Description
How does your working day look like …
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets for MICE & Groups segments.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor offerings, and potential business opportunities within the MICE & Groups markets.
  • Handle all incoming group and event enquiries (rooms and/or catering), ensuring timely responses and personalized proposals in line with brand standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, event planners, and other stakeholders to promote the hotel’s offerings.
  • Prepare accurate and competitive quotations tailored to client needs, working in alignment with Revenue guidelines.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with clients to maximize revenue and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Prepare and issue group contracts, ensuring all terms are in line with hotel policy and revenue strategy.
  • Actively follow up on all leads to maximize conversion rates, using sales techniques and understanding of market trends.
  • Maintain updated client records and enquiry details in the CRM (e.g., Opera, Delphi), ensuring accuracy in reporting and forecasting.
  • Organize and participate in sales events, trade shows, and promotional activities to increase brand awareness and attract potential clients.
  • Coordinate with Revenue, Reservations, Events Planning, and Operations to ensure feasibility, availability, and smooth delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, forecasts, and market analysis. Provide regular reports to the Director of Sales/Assistant Director of Sales on performance metrics.
  • Mentor and train junior sales staff as needed, fostering a collaborative and high-performing sales culture.
  • Delegate follow-up tasks, rooming list updates, commission checks, and reconciliation coordination to the Groups Coordinator to streamline operations and focus on conversion.
  • Support the Sales team in post-event feedback collection and relationship nurturing for repeat business.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the hospitality industry, with a focus on MICE and leisure.
  • Ability to prioritize and respond quickly to multiple enquiries.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Confident in pricing, negotiation, and upselling.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and sales platforms (Opera, Delphi, Salesforce, etc.).
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and hotel property management systems.
  • Ability to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events.
