Role Overview

The Sales Manager will oversee the performance, discipline, and daily structure of the sales team. A significant focus of this role is ensuring consistent second-facing of customers, daily morning sales meetings, and strict adherence to the dealership’s sales process.

Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Team Management
  • Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to consistently achieve targets.
  • Conduct daily morning sales meetings outlining priorities, appointments, KPIs, and performance updates.
  • Implement and enforce a structured sales process across all customer touchpoints.
  • Review CRM activity daily to ensure accurate pipeline management and follow‑up.
Customer Engagement & Deal Closure
  • Second-face customers regularly to support negotiations, increase trust, and improve closing ratios.
  • Ensure every customer receives a professional and supportive buying experience.
  • Maintain high levels of product knowledge and showroom standards.
Operational Excellence
  • Oversee the accuracy of vehicle listings, pricing, digital content, and online presentation.
  • Review lead quality and work closely with marketing to optimise conversions.
  • Ensure full utilisation of the CRM (Zoho preferred) including follow‑ups, task management, and reporting.
Team Development
  • Mentor team members in sales techniques, objection handling, and customer communication.
  • Hold the team accountable for performance metrics and daily activities.
  • Promote a culture of discipline, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Sales Manager or Senior Sales Executive in the automotive industry.
  • Strong track record of achieving and surpassing sales targets.
  • Experience in the UK automotive market is a major advantage.
  • Excellent English communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong second‑facing ability and customer rapport‑building skills.
