Job summary

A leading energy solutions provider is seeking a Sales Director to drive business development and sales initiatives across the UAE. You will engage with strategic customers, develop sales strategies, and close deals while maintaining strong relationships with key accounts. The ideal candidate has over 15 years of experience in sales, particularly in the Oil & Gas or Energy sectors, and possesses excellent interpersonal skills. This is a full-time position based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

About the Role

As Sales Director, you will be at the forefront of driving sales and business development initiatives across the UAE / assigned sub-region of the Middle East. Your day will involve engaging with strategic customers and leadership, planning, executing win strategies and closing sales deals, while collaborating with peers to achieve business goals. You will also maintain a strong connection with the Compression Business factories to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction. Your role will be pivotal in shaping the future of our business in the UAE / assigned sub-region.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales and account management strategies to drive Orders growth in the UAE / assigned Middle East sub-region.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the key account(s) and partners, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions, acting as voice of the customer internally.
  • Consistently close sales target deals in each financial quarter, meeting annual performance targets, while ensuring customer satisfaction by delivering exceptional service and support. Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and stay ahead in the market. Identify, develop and execute winning strategies for the respective target opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, marketing, and operations to align on sales strategies and customer needs.
  • Establish and maintain meaningful connections with key stakeholders and customers, fostering strong relationships and trust. Drive business growth by leveraging market insights, customer feedback, and innovative approaches.
  • Work closely with across functions and geographies to ensure product availability, quality, and timely delivery to customers. Contribute to product development with technical, commercial and strategic insights.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience in industry with minimum 15+ years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in a multinational environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully building and maintaining long term strategic relationships at senior levels with the key UAE Oil & Gas and Energy majors. Proven track record of closing sales deals and achieving Order Intake targets within the UAE Oil & Gas and Energy majors.
  • Experience working with multinational peers and in diverse cultural environments, demonstrating strong intercultural communication skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners.
  • Proficiency in using sales and business development tools and technologies to enhance productivity and efficiency., and forward-looking. Passionate about sustainability, innovation, and energy transition. Strong customer empathy and ability to understand and address customer needs effectively.
  • Preferrable, reasonable understanding of Centrifugal Compressors business, different drivers and their Oil & Gas / Energy industry applications. Strategic and Large Account Management, within target accounts.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on achieving business goals and driving growth. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
