Job summary

Al-Futtaim Retail is seeking a Sales Assistant to engage customers, promote products, and support store operations. The role emphasizes delivering a positive customer experience, maintaining store standards, and contributing to sales targets across daily retail activities.

You will interact with customers, provide product information, assist at fittings and cash wrap, and help keep the store clean and organized in line with visual merchandising guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or equivalent educational background.
• 1-2 years of retail sales experience.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks.
• Strong verbal communication skills to engage customers and convey product information.

Overview Of The Role:

• The Sales Assistant plays a crucial role in driving store sales by engaging effectively with customers, creating a welcoming shopping environment, and maintaining operational standards. Success in this role is characterized by the ability to deliver a consistently positive customer experience and support store management in achieving sales targets. The position involves active participation in daily retail operations, ensuring the store is clean, organized, and aligned with visual merchandising guidelines.

What You Will Do:

Customer Engagement

• Create a positive first impression for the customer through an energetic attitude and adhering to dress code.
• Greet customers immediately upon entering the store with a smile and sincere non-business like greeting.
• Provide customers with current relevant information about the products.
• Sincerely thank all customers for shopping as they exit the store, and invite them back.

Sales Activities

• Provide quality service in the fitting rooms, follow up with customers in a timely manner, maintain cash wrap cleanliness and attempt to add on to the sale.
• Provide efficient service at the cash wrap, offer gift cards, maintain cash wrap cleanliness and capture customer information in the database.

Operational Duties

• Create a sparkling clean and organized environment by maintaining store standards and cleanliness.
• Perform housekeeping duties and adhere to visual presentation standards as assigned by store management.

Required Skills To Be Successful:

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Capability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

What Qualifies You For The Role:

• High School Degree or equivalent educational background.
• 1-2 years of prior retail sales experience.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including heavy lifting and standing for a minimum of 8 hours.
• Strong verbal communication skills to engage customers and convey product information.
