Al-Futtaim Retail, in Dubai, seeks a Sales Assistant for Maje at Palm Jumeirah Mall to deliver welcoming, knowledgeable service and keep the store looking its best.

You will greet customers, share product details, assist at checkout, upsell where possible, maintain tidy displays and fittings, and thank shoppers on exit to encourage repeat visits. Requirements include 1–2 years of retail experience and a high school diploma.

• 1–2 years of retail sales experience.
• Ability to stand for 8 hours and lift moderately.

Overview Of The Role:

• The Sales Assistant plays a critical role in driving sales and enhancing the customer experience within the store environment. Tasked with creating a welcoming atmosphere, the Sales Assistant ensures customers receive efficient and knowledgeable service while maintaining the store's presentation and cleanliness standards. Success in this position requires a proactive attitude and the ability to engage with customers effectively, aiming to increase sales and foster repeat business.

What You Will Do:

Sales and Customer Interaction

• Greet customers immediately upon entering the store with a smile and sincere non-business-like greeting.
• Provide customers with current relevant information about the product.
• Provide efficient service at the cash wrap, offer gift cards, maintain cash wrap cleanliness, and capture customer information in the database.
• Provide quality service in the fitting rooms, follow up with customers in a timely manner, maintain cash wrap cleanliness, and attempt to add on to the sale.
• Sincerely thank all customers for shopping as they exit the store, and invite them back.

Store Maintenance and Presentation

• Create a sparkling clean and organized environment by maintaining store standards and cleanliness.
• Ensure adherence to visual presentation standards as assigned by store management.
• Maintain store standards and cleanliness throughout shifts.
• Adhere to dress code to create a positive first impression for customers.

Required Skills To Be Successful:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain a clean and organized environment.
• Proficiency in sales techniques, including upselling and cross-selling.
• Customer-focused approach with attention to detail.

What Qualifies You For The Role:

• High School Degree or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of retail sales experience.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to perform some heavy lifting and stand for a minimum of 8 hours.
