Job description
Job Title: Safety Officer – Port / Logistics Operations

We are looking for a qualified Safety Officer with experience in port operations or logistics within the UAE. The ideal candidate must have strong knowledge of HSE standards, operational safety procedures, and compliance requirements related to logistics, warehousing, and port activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor daily operations in port/logistics areas to ensure compliance with HSE regulations and company safety policies.
  • Conduct routine inspections of warehouses, loading/unloading zones, material‑handling equipment, and transport areas.
  • Identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures to prevent accidents.
  • Prepare and maintain safety reports, incident logs, near‑miss records, and inspection checklists.
  • Provide safety induction and toolbox talks to new and existing staff.
  • Support emergency response planning, drills, and investigations.
  • Ensure all PPE is used correctly and available for staff.
  • Coordinate with supervisors, foremen, and management to enforce safe work practices.
  • Assist in developing safety procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for logistics and port operations.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of UAE experience in port operations, logistics, or warehouse safety.
  • NEBOSH IGC certification (mandatory).
  • Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and port/warehouse safety practices.
  • Ability to prepare reports and communicate effectively in English.
  • Experience conducting safety training, inspections, and incident investigations.
  • Familiar with material‑handling equipment safety (forklifts, reach stackers, cranes, etc.)
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage site safety independently.
