Job summary

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Safety Officer within the GCC region
• Minimum 5 years of experience in health and safety within the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of UAE health and safety legislation, regulations, and industry best practices
• Excellent understanding of hazardous materials, risk assessment techniques, and safe work practices
• Experience in data analysis, incident reporting, and safety performance monitoring
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Safety Management, or related discipline; NEBOSH IGC mandatory

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations and promoting a safe, healthy, and accident-free work environment across all project sites.

The role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional with strong leadership skills and a commitment to fostering a culture of safety. The Safety Officer will focus on risk prevention, regulatory compliance, incident management, and continuous safety improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement, monitor, and support Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) policies, procedures, and programs.
• Provide guidance and leadership to employees on health, safety, and environmental matters

• Demonstrated competence in safety management, people management, and project execution.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Safety Management, or a related discipline.
• Recognized certification in Occupational Health and Safety.
• NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) – Mandatory.
• Valid UAE Driving Licence.
