Job description

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety Officer to join our Sharjah team.

In this role, you will ensure that all work activities are carried out safely and efficiently, in line with company and regulatory standards. You will play a key part in promoting a proactive safety culture, conducting inspections, leading emergency preparedness efforts, and supporting the development of HSE procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect, identify, and report unsafe acts or conditions, ensuring timely corrective actions.
  • Provide guidance and support to operations and maintenance teams to maintain high HSE performance standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments for hazardous activities and ensure proper control measures are implemented.
  • Lead emergency response planning and drills, ensuring readiness and compliance.
  • Monitor work activities across all company sites and ensure adherence to company HSE policies and company standards.
  • Deliver HSE inductions, awareness programs, and coordinate safety training for employees and contractors.
  • Support accident investigations and contribute to HSE events, campaigns, and initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree with a valid safety certification (NEBOSH IGC / IOSH Level 3).
  • 5–8 years of experience implementing HSE procedures in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong communication, reporting, and influencing skills — with the ability to train and engage people at all levels.
  • Passionate about safety with an eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
