Job summary

Confidential Company is seeking an experienced Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) professional to manage safety programs in a warehouse and facilities environment in Dubai. You will implement policies, conduct risk assessments, and lead incident investigations to prevent recurrence.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe workplace environment and health & safety standards.
• Ensure adherence to all policies, procedures and statutory training.
• Conduct risk assessments for equipment and operations, review regularly.
• Investigate incidents and implement preventive actions.
• Conduct fire drills and respond to alarms; manage safety inspections.
• Prepare regular health, safety, and welfare reports for Senior Management.
• Oversee facilities housekeeping and staff utilization for housekeeping tasks.
• Ensure compliance with local authorities and client safety requirements.

Job description

• Ensure a safe workplace environment without risk to health.

• Ensure that all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated.

• Ensure the Company meets its statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to health, safety and welfare at work, including statutory training and reporting.

• Ensure completion and regular review of risk assessments for all work equipment and operations.

• Ensure that all accidents are documented; investigated and recommended improvements are implemented.

• Ensure that safety inspections are carried out, fire drills and fire alarms are correctly reported, safety inspections, risk assessments and lone working procedures are managed, and employees are aware of their responsibilities.

• Establish a structured programmed of health & safety training throughout the Company.

• Liaise with external health & safety consultants in the provision of training programmes and health and safety services.

• Keep up to date with all aspects of relevant health, safety & welfare at work legislation and communicate relevant changes to the business.

• Conduct investigations for the incidents at workplace to identify the root cause and ensure preventive actions are defined and implemented to mitigate risk of occurrence of similar or related incident.

• Conduct regular fire drills and make the staff aware of the evacuation procedure.

• Respond to Fire Alarms and system failure across facilities.

• Ensure full and accurate health and safety and training records are maintained.

• Provide regular reports to the Senior Management Team on relevant health and safety activities.

• Participate in monthly meetings when required to report on relevant health & safety matters.

• Ensure all facilities meets the housekeeping standards.

• Manage hired/own staff and ensure maximum utilization for housekeeping activities.

• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety and security Standards as agreed with the Local Authorities and the Clients.
