A leading company seeks an experienced Occupational Health and Safety Manager in Dubai. The role includes developing OHS policies, conducting risk assessments, and training employees. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Occupational Safety, possess NEBOSH IGC certification, and have over 6 years of experience in a multi-project environment. Strong presentation and stakeholder management skills are essential.
Job Description
Support the development of OHS policies and programs
Advise and instruct on various safety-related topics (noise levels, use of machinery etc.)
Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures
Create, Review and update policies and measures and update according to legislation
Initiate and organize OHS training of employees and executives
Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment)
Oversee installations, maintenance, disposal of substances etc.
Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy
Record and investigate incidents to determine causes and handle worker’s compensation claims
Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to the department concerned.
Represent the company on matters regarding HSE on client facing platforms
Conduct Trainings to the workforce
Frequent inspections on site and share all unsafe acts and conditions to respective contractors
Root cause analysis & corrective / preventive action planning
MS Office & Risk Assessment software proficiency
Strong presentation, reporting, and stakeholder management skills
Knowledge of regulatory & statutory compliance (local & international)
Have knowledge on Lighting and solar works
