Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or Mechatronics).
• Willingness to work on-site in a field role with safety boots and shifts.

• Proficiency with Excel and data-driven decisions.
• Reliable team player committed to standards and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Maintain port equipment including quay cranes and yard gear.
• Analyze breakdowns and identify root causes to prevent recurrence.
• Plan preventive maintenance schedules.
• Support civil works and terminal expansions.
• Engage with automation and control systems in operations.
• Collaborate with Operations, HSE, Procurement and vendors.
• Contribute to data systems and CMMS usage.

What You'll Learn & Do

As a Ruwad trainee in our Engineering & Asset Management teams, you'll get hands-on training in:

• Equipment Maintenance - Work on quay cranes, RTGs, straddle carriers and yard equipment
• Reliability Engineering - Analyse breakdowns, find root causes, stop them happening again
• Preventive Maintenance Planning - Build and refine schedules that keep the port moving
• Projects & Infrastructure - Support civil works, berth upgrades and terminal expansion
• Automation & Control Systems - Get close to the PLCs, sensors and systems running our automated terminals
• Asset Integrity & HSE - Inspections, safety standards, and engineering that protects people
• CMMS & Technical Systems - Work in the platforms where real maintenance data lives
• Cross-functional Collaboration - Partner with Operations, HSE, Procurement and vendors

You should have (or be genuinely willing to develop):

• Strong communication - English fluently; Arabic is an advantage
