Job summary

MHI Power Middle East LLC in Abu Dhabi seeks a skilled Rotor Fitter to perform refurbishment on gas turbine rotors, including disassembly, de-stacking, reassembly, and blade work, ensuring accurate measurement records and adherence to quality standards.

The ideal candidate has a Diploma of Associate Engineering in Mechanical, 8+ years of total experience, and fluent business English; prior experience with steam turbine rotors and on-site rotor work is a plus.

• 8+ years of total experience.
• Fluency in business English is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform refurbishment activities on gas turbine rotors, including rotor disassembly / de-stacking, reassembly / re-stacking, bolts stretching, and maintaining measurement records.
• Perform GT rotors blading work (compressor & turbine section).
• Perform correction of defects on rotor parts per inspection reports & engineering recommendation.
• Perform refurbishment activities on Steam Turbine rotors & Diaphragms per engineering disposition/ fitter scope.
• Coordinate with Workshop supervisor to ensure all refurbishment works meet company specifications for quality.
• Comply with company & UAE workplace regulations and with QMS & HSE policies and procedures.

Job description

Responsibilities:

Rotor Fitter will be responsible to:

• Perform refurbishment activities on gas Turbine rotors, including:
• Rotor Disassembly / De-stacking.
• Maintain measurement records during rotor de-stacking.
• Rotor Reassembly / Re-stacking
• Rotor Bolts stretching.
• Maintain measurement records during rotor re-stacking.
• Perform GT rotors blading work (compressor & turbine section).
• Perform correction of defects on rotor parts per inspection reports & engineering recommendation.
• Perform refurbishment activities on Steam Turbine rotors & Diaphragms, per engineering disposition/ Fitter scope.
• Perfom de-stacking & re-stacking of compressor rotors, under workshop supervisor lead.
• Perform On-site Gas Turbine rotor blading work.
• Overhauling of centrifugal pumps.
• Coordinate with Workshop supervisor to ensure all assigned refurbishment works are carried out according to company's specifications for quality.
• Comply with the company & UAE work place regulations.
• Comply with QMS & HSE company policy & procedures.
