Job summary

Montpellier Resourcing is recruiting for a Risk Manager for a regulated wealth and investment management business in Dubai (DFSA-regulated). This role strengthens the second-line risk function and suits someone with a solid grounding in investment or wealth management risk.

You will work with senior stakeholders, maintain the risk register, support regulatory returns, review products and client onboarding, and help develop risk policies as the business scales.

Qualifications

• Experience in a risk management role within wealth management, asset management or private banking.
• Familiarity with DFSA or equivalent regulator requirements.
• Strong analytical and report-writing skills.
• Ability to work confidently with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

A regulated wealth and investment management business in Dubai is seeking a Risk Manager to strengthen its second-line risk function. This role suits someone with a solid grounding in investment or wealth management risk who is comfortable operating in a DFSA-regulated environment.

Duties of the Risk Manager to include:

• Identifying, assessing and monitoring investment, operational and regulatory risk across the business
• Maintaining the firm's risk register and reporting to senior management and relevant committees
• Supporting DFSA regulatory returns, reviews and inspections
• Reviewing new products, mandates and client onboarding for risk implications
• Developing and updating risk policies, controls and procedures
• Liaising with compliance, legal and front-office teams on emerging risk issues

Requirements for the successful Risk Manager to include:

• Experience in a risk management role within wealth management, asset management or private banking
• Familiarity with DFSA (or equivalent regional regulator) requirements
• Strong analytical and report-writing skills
• Relevant qualifications (e.g. IMC, CFA, FRM or equivalent) preferred
• Ability to work confidently with senior stakeholders
• Prior GCC experience is an advantage but not essential
