We are seeking a Associate Manager, Retail Operations to oversee and manage all aspects of retail operations across our portfolio, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, tenant compliance, and exceptional customer experience. This role acts as the key liaison between tenants and the landlord, maintaining operational excellence and supporting overall asset value.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary operational contact for tenants
- Conduct regular tenant and facility inspections for compliance
- Oversee daily retail property operations and customer experience
- Coordinate with FM, housekeeping, and security teams
- Ensure cleanliness, safety, and service quality across common areas
- Prepare and implement mall readiness plans, opening schedules & campaigns
- Monitor and renew permits, insurance, and authority approvals
- Support audits, inspections, and incident investigations
- Assist in preparing and managing annual OPEX & service charge budgets
- Analyze financial performance and control operational costs
- Coordinate service charge allocations, recoveries & financial forecasts
- Collaborate with Leasing, Marketing, RDD & FM teams on updates and planning
- Prepare operational performance reports and tenancy updates
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Facilities Management, Real Estate, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 6–8years’ experience in retail/mall operations, property management, or hospitality operations
- Strong understanding of mall/retail operational standards, tenant management & facility management principles
- Excellent knowledge of retail compliance, authority requirements, permits and approvals (UAE experience preferred)
- Proven ability to manage OPEX budgets, service charges & financial reconciliations
- Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills
- Ability to resolve operational challenges with a customer‑focused mindset
- Skilled in reporting and data analysis to support decision‑making
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in MS Office and relevant property management systems (CAFMs, ERP platforms, etc.)
