Urgent requirement for Retail Leasing Manager – Shopping Malls (UAE Experience Mandatory) is required for our client in Abu Dhabi, UAE
Mandatory Requirements
- Total experience minimum 10 years, 5–10 years of UAE experience in leasing retail units within shopping malls is MUST
- Strong experience of tenant mix, lease negotiations, and mall operations
- Strong experience in tenant curation, lease structuring, and rent negotiations.
- Strong experience in Mall Operations Knowledge – Understanding of fit-out, handover, and operational coordination.
The role involves supporting the Head of Leasing and General Manager in executing leasing strategies, policies, and procedures for the day-to-day operations of the commercial leasing department.
Key Responsibilities
- Marketing of Properties / Assets
- Identify and engage potential tenants for available spaces.
- Develop and maintain an updated tenant database, sharing insights with the management team.
- Build and nurture client relationships to generate referrals and leasing opportunities.
- Provide clients with market intelligence and leasing trends.
- Support marketing efforts, including collateral updates, events, and promotions.
- Attend trade shows and industry events (e.g., MECS+R) to network and identify leasing prospects.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing tenants to ensure renewals and retention.
- Leasing of Assets
- Participate in budgeting and forecasting of leasing income.
- Achieve targeted occupancy levels and lease revenue.
- Prepare and negotiate Letters of Intent (LOIs), tenancy agreements, and related leasing documents.
- Respond to RFPs/SFOs professionally and within deadlines.
- Analyze market rents, incentives, and competitive properties for pricing accuracy.
- Conduct leasing review meetings and liaise with the management team regularly.
- Lease Administration
- Prepare and issue lease offer letters and agreements promptly.
- Ensure timely collection of reservation deposits and advance payments.
- Manage lease data in ERP systems (e.g., YARDI) for accuracy and compliance.
- Liaison & Registration
- Coordinate with HR and Legal teams to ensure proper registration of lease agreements with government authorities, avoiding penalties.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain effective communication with tenants, landlords, and clients.
- Prepare and present periodic leasing activity reports and forecasts.
- Support the GM – Business Development & Leasing in achieving departmental goals.
Job Authorities
- Responsible for budgeting and forecasting leasing revenues.
- Coordinate with the Legal Team to resolve tenant-related legal matters.
