GMG is seeking a skilled Carpenter to construct, install, and repair wooden fixtures in GMG retail stores across the UAE. You will read blueprints, measure and cut materials, and assemble frameworks with precision to meet project specs and deadlines.

Ideal candidates have up to 2 years UAE experience, proficiency with hand tools and power tools, and a commitment to safety and quality in fast-paced retail environments.

Qualifications

• Up to 2 years of UAE Carpentry experience.
• Read and interpret simple drawings and plans to complete carpentry work accurately.
• Knowledge of wood types and finishing materials.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, plywood, and other materials to build or repair frameworks, furniture, and other structures.
• Install doors, windows, floors, and cabinetry with precision and attention to detail.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans to determine project specifications.
• Carry out repairs and maintenance of wooden structures, ensuring stability and safety.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and other carpentry equipment safely and effectively.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment and manage waste materials appropriately.
• Stay informed about the QHSE policy and procedures as required by GMG.
