InterContinental Fujairah Resort is seeking a friendly Restaurant Server to welcome guests, take orders, and deliver memorable dining experiences. You’ll work with the Restaurant, Kitchen, Bar, and F&B teams to ensure smooth service and high standards.

With 1–2 years in hotel food service, you’ll demonstrate strong communication, the ability to upsell, handle cash and POS transactions, and adapt to flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years’ experience in hotels or similar in a guest-facing role.
• Food service experience and knowledge of restaurant operations.
• Able to serve alcohol in line with local regulations.
• Strong communication and writing skills; comfortable taking orders and handling payments.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to stand for long periods and carry items as needed.

• Work closely with Restaurant, Kitchen, Bar, and F&B teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Support colleagues during busy periods and assist in other areas as required.
• Participate in training and continuously develop food, beverage, and service knowledge.
• Maximize sales through upselling and product knowledge.
• Process orders and payments accurately using the POS system.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, HACCP, hygiene, and cleanliness.
• Follow all restaurant SOPs, hotel policies, cash handling procedures, and safety requirements.
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned to support the operation.

Your Day to Day:

Great restaurant memories come from many places. The sights, sounds, scents and, importantly, service. As a Restaurant Server, you’ll welcome our guests, recommend food and drink and help keep service on-track and up to standard. By tailoring each guest’s experience to their unique tastes, you’ll create memories as delightful as the dishes.

Some of your main role responsibilities are:

• Greet guests warmly and take food and beverage orders promptly and professionally.

Ideally, you'll have some or all of the following competencies and experience we're looking for:

• Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in hotels in similar position
• Food service experience with general knowledge of restaurant operations preferred.
• Must be at the minimum age to serve alcohol in line with any local legislative requirements.
• Communication skills used frequently when interacting with guests wait staff, cooks, and supervisor.
• Reading and writing abilities used often when taking orders, completing paperwork, etc.
• Basic math skills are frequently used when handling cash and credit
• Have the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and/or holidays
• Ability to perform the following: Carrying or lifting items, assist with the food delivery, bending, stooping, kneeling, handling food objects; plates, trays, glasses, etc
