Job Overview:
The Restaurant Cashier is responsible for handling customer transactions accurately and efficiently, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring a positive dining experience. They greet customers, take orders, process payments, and assist with maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly and provide prompt, friendly service.
 - Take customer orders accurately and input them into the POS system.
 - Process cash, credit, or debit transactions securely and efficiently.
 - Issue receipts, refunds, or change as needed.
 - Answer customer questions about menu items, specials, or promotions.
 - Maintain cleanliness and organization at the cashier station.
 - Assist with seating arrangements or guiding customers to tables.
 - Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally and escalate when necessary.
 - Balance cash register at the end of each shift and prepare cash deposits.
 - Support other restaurant staff as needed during busy periods.
 
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a cashier or in customer service preferred.
 - Strong arithmetic and basic math skills.
 - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
 - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
 - Attention to detail and accuracy.
