Job summary

Sheikh Khalifa Medical City Ajman seeks a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join a multidisciplinary team in delivering respiratory care to patients of all ages. You will assess, treat, and monitor those needing respiratory support, including ICU patients, and develop individualized treatment plans.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy and at least 3 years of experience, with a strong emphasis on patient safety and collaboration with physicians and care teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant clinical experience.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and commit to patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled respiratory care to patients of all ages across settings.
• Assess, treat, and monitor patients requiring respiratory support including those in intensive care units.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment and patient education plans.
• Conduct diagnostic tests such as lung capacity and blood gas analysis.
• Administer oxygen therapy, chest physiotherapy, aerosol medications, and manage ventilators.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams on care planning and clinical decisions.
• Educate patients and caregivers on treatment techniques and preventive care.
• Maintain accurate records and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of respiratory equipment.
