Job summary

Royal Health Group AE in the United Arab Emirates seeks a skilled Respiratory Therapist to assess, treat, and care for patients with breathing and cardiopulmonary disorders. You will administer respiratory therapies, monitor progress, and collaborate with physicians to deliver high-quality patient care.

The role involves operating respiratory care equipment, managing ventilators and CPAP/BiPAP devices, and assisting with procedures such as intubation and bronchoscopy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Valid professional license/registration as a Respiratory Therapist (DOH/DHA/MOH UAE).
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Arabic language ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary conditions.
• Perform diagnostic tests such as pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas analysis.
• Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, nebulization treatments, and chest physiotherapy.
• Manage and monitor mechanical ventilators, CPAP, and BiPAP devices.
• Assist physicians during intubation, bronchoscopy, and other respiratory procedures.
• Monitor patient responses to treatment and modify therapy plans as directed by physicians.
• Respond to emergency situations, including CPR and code blue events.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory diseases, treatment plans, and home respiratory equipment.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with hospital policies.
• Ensure proper maintenance, cleaning, and calibration of respiratory equipment.
• Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and quality standards.
