Job summary

Parsons in Dubai, UAE seeks a highly experienced Resident Engineer (Roads & Bridges) to oversee construction supervision of roads and infrastructure. The role requires coordinating with authorities, contractors, and clients to ensure project integrity, safety, and timely handover.

The ideal candidate has a civil engineering degree and 15+ years of GCC-focused supervision experience, with strong communication skills and a solid grasp of codes, standards, and health and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University.
• Minimum 15 years post graduate experience in supervision, and construction management of major roads, bridges and infrastructure projects preferably within the GCC region.
• Recent and substantial work experience of community development projects is a must, preferably Dubai.
• Good communication skills both written and spoken.
• Good technical knowledge and well versed with the standards and codes.
• Good computer skills and software proficiency in related field.
• Knowledge in construction health, safety and environment

Responsibilities

• Manage the scope of engineering work, schedules, change management and closeout for the assigned project elements, and monitors progress to meet schedule and budget requirements. Identifies and documents changes in scope.
• Coordinate with Authorities and Agencies for approvals and handing over of Project/services
• Interfaces with Contractor and subcontracts to facilitate compliance to the Contract and deliverables.
• Reviews work produced to ensure that applicable codes, standards, and procedures are followed and that quality is acceptable
• Reviews and approves change orders. Notifies project management and other affected personnel of all changes.
• Mange the Client's expectation and update the progress periodically
• Liaise with Authorities to ensure smooth execution and handing over of the Project
• Ensure that Parsons rights and obligations are fulfilled
