Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years experience in civil engineering with substantial experience in substation projects in the UAE.

Responsibilities

• Monitor construction to ensure compliance with approved designs and specifications.
• Plan, organize and oversee engineering and construction inspection activities.
• Review contractor submissions, shop drawings and method statements.
• Identify, report and resolve non-conformance issues.

• Coordinate with the Client and other stakeholders on project interfaces.
• Oversee project closeout activities and verification of installed quantities.

Your mission

As Resident Engineer Civil (Substation) in our Transmission & Distribution department you will manage the civil engineering portfolio of high‑voltage power substation projects (400kV / 220kV / 132kV). You will oversee technical HSE and financial performance during design and construction supervision ensuring delivery in line with contractual safety and quality standards.

Your key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise civil works for high‑voltage substation projects.
• Monitor construction to ensure compliance with approved designs and specifications.
• Plan, organize and oversee engineering and construction inspection activities.
• Review contractor submissions, shop drawings and method statements.
• Identify, report and resolve non‑conformance issues.
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and international/local codes.
• Coordinate with the Client (e.g. TRANSCO) and other stakeholders on project interfaces.
• Oversee project closeout activities and verification of installed quantities.

Your qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (approved by UAE regulatory authorities).
• Minimum 10 years experience in civil engineering with substantial experience in substation projects in the UAE.
