Job summary

This is a fully remote Senior Backend Engineer role focused on C#/.NET in a product-led proptech and fintech environment. You’ll design and implement scalable backend services, APIs, and event-driven components while ensuring performance, reliability, and security across a fast-moving platform.

You will own features end-to-end, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to technical strategy and standards for a globally distributed system.

Qualifications

• Strong backend engineering experience with C# and .NET.
• Hands-on Azure services, including serverless and Key Vault.
• Experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience designing REST APIs and microservices.
• Containerisation with Docker and deployment on Kubernetes.
• Databases across relational and non-relational stores.
• Caching strategies and performance tuning.
• Unit and integration testing with observability tooling.
• Experience in fintech/proptech/payments or tokenisation.
• Knowledge of Go or TypeScript alongside C#/.NET.
• AWS cloud-native experience alongside Azure.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate scalable backend services in C#/.NET.
• Own features end-to-end from design to production support.
• Contribute to microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Evolve platform architecture for scale, reliability, and security.
• Build RESTful APIs, async workflows, and messaging components.
• Profile and optimize performance, apply caching, and code reviews.
• Write unit/integration tests and strengthen quality practices.
• Collaborate with product managers, frontend, QA, and DevOps.
• Contribute to technical strategy and mentor engineers.
